Common Name:  Flat Bugs

Description:  Flat bugs live under the loose bark of dead trees.  Little is known about their biology, but they probably feed on fungal secretions or other products of decay.  They can be recognized by the unusually thin profile of the body.

2. Four-segmented antennae
3. Ocelli absent
