Common Name:  March Flies;  Lovebugs

Description:  Typically seen in spring or early summer, adult March flies are dark-colored insects with relatively short, multi-segmented antennae.  Some common species have a red or yellow thorax.   The larvae usually feed on decaying organic matter.
