Kwik-Key to Common Families of Heteroptera

Select "A" or "B" for your specimen:

A.    Front tarsi short and scoop-like.  Dorsal surface of body relatively flat.    Wings marked with dark lateral lines.   Proboscis is short and broad.

A: Family Corixidae


B.    Front tarsi two-segmented with typical claws.   Dorsal surface of body strongly convex.   Proboscis long and slender.

B: Family Notonectidae
