Common Name:   Biddies;  Spiketails

Description:   Cordulegastrids are long, thin dragonflies with brown or black bodies marked with yellow spots, triangles or rings.   They usually fly low and straight over small forest streams.   The common name spiketail refers to the females’ prominent ovipositors.
